Farewell email to my DoubleClick friends - July 2007

Found this email in my gmail archive folder, feel like posting it here as DoubleClick was such a big part of me, I know I will always remember it, especially the friends I made over those years...
=========================================================================

As Greg announced in DTG announcement, I have decided to pursue other opportunity outside of DoubleClick. Today will be my last day.

A little over nine years ago, destiny landed me at DoubleClick, I have since found my home, made my friends, launched my career. I am thankful that I get to know and be friends with so many passionate, talented, dedicated professionals. I appreciate the help you gave me, the friendship you offered, the memories you shared. I want to say “thank you”, for everything you generously offered, which made me who I am today. Thank you!

The last two years have been the most exciting time, we have renewed our focus, quadrupled our value, landed ourselves on Google. I am grateful that I get the opportunity to be part of it to make it happen. I am grateful that I get to witness what a focused team can do. I want to say “be proud”, for everything you have accomplished, and will continue to accomplish in the future. Be proud, as you have built a great brand, be proud, as you have created an excellent platform, be proud, as you have released products paled competition, won over customers, generated impressive growth.

Be proud! I know I am, and I will always be. I am proud that I am a “clicker”. When the time is right, I choose to fly with “clickers”. As many of you know, my partners, Doug Knopper and Jon Heller, used to be “clickers” too. I am joining them as co-founder/CTO to start a video monetization company on west coast. Should you find yourself in the neighborhood, please don’t hesitate to call. Doug, Jon and myself will be very happy to hear from our “clicker” friends.

If I don’t get to stop by and say hi, I wish you all the best! Keep in touch!
