Jack, Jack, Jack

What can I say…God must be really happy when he created Jack. Most of us would be dying for one talent, it would be like winning a jackpot if god grants us one. God was so generous that day, that he granted Jack many. He is this lucky kid with so many talents at his disposal, he just uses or wastes them randomly without thinking.

Di brought him in when he came back from a long vacation after he left his last job, a startup that he worked on. Our conversation was strange at first, I would start a topic, within a few sentences, he would say “got it”, “got it”, “got it”, then we would move on to the next topic. At the beginning, I wondered whether he really got it, so I would come back with questions, just to find out that he, to my amazement, really understood it. I don’t remember how long we talked, long enough that I was so sure that I wanted him, badly.

He sat across the table from me, I noticed he has really long fingers, a rare form that one would consider a waste not playing piano. We went out for dinner that day, with Jon and Steve. Steve must have noticed that too, he asked him whether he plays piano…

Jack writes beautiful code, it is so beautiful that I actually enjoy his code review, for the first time, in my life. I am lucky enough to get to know a few talented coders, one thing I am sure of: Jack is no-regular-talented-coder…

I came across his blog one day on the web, oh my —, that is one popular blog. He would just organize words randomly, turn boring things happening everyday into a few paragraphs that people would be dying to read. God, he is a nature born writer…

Guess what his dream job is? A gardener…

I consider myself extraordinary lucky to get to know Jack and hopefully will be a friend of his one day. Thanks to Di.

    Dear Di,

Jack is one of my good friends. Can you elaborate on his other talents?

I'd say Jack is one of best well-known talent coders among his grade in the whole Univ. I'm so lucky to know him there and work with him today. Beside a super-star programmer, I'd more say him as a dedicated and diligent contributor. Also with great passion of life. I've no doubt he'll be success and wish we can be best friends for ever.
