How can I forget about OddStad? - FreeWheel's first office in CA
Doug and Jon should be writing this, not me...I was only in that office for a day, or maybe couple of hours, to be exact. Jon did take a picture of Doug and myself using his blackberry. — The picture is in the company's archive — the only evidence of me being there. Jack used the picture as a FreeWheel Ad for the "Happy New Year" video play prior the launch.
All I remember was the sweet scented candle that Abbie, Doug's wife, bought to make the office "smell" better.
I like Abbie. We met for lunch after I moved out to Palo Alto, and again before 07 Christmas. Abbie, Doug, Jon, and myself, the four of us met for dinner before I flew back to Beijing to finish up the launch. It was a great dinner, Abbie brought notes with questions she wrote ahead of time to make sure we have a great time and don't talk about work again at the dinner. Very thoughtful. Thanks to her, we had a great time, and we knew a lot more about each other too, including favorite curse words...I am NOT going to tell you what Doug and Jon's favorite curse words are, don't ask me... Abbie is a very warm person with the kind of "in your face" type personality, in a way, she is more like Jon and myself, I guess Doug just get along well with this type of personality.
We soon moved into Battery's office because they are very kind, offered us free office space...Nothing beats free. Battery office is very close to where I live, within a mile. You couldn't get closer than that. Jon jokes that I could jog to work everyday, indeed. He has to drive 45 minutes to work, he complains about it every minute.

I decide to update this entry with the picture taken from Jon's blackberry. So that everyone can take a look at our "beloved" OddStad office.

It's amazing to find that you start a real Diane's blog. Usually, I am a diver, which means man never post in BBS. But I will follow this blog closely.
BTW, you should embed a video player in your site, and then get some revenue share.

"diver" interesting word that you used. I would say I was a "diver" too, all these years...Until run into you guys, girls, such a group of amazing people doing amazing things, and having A LOT fun doing it...It would be selfish of me if I keep all of that to myself

to set the record straight, I do not complain about the drive every minute. I max out at 1-2 times a day
