Di - When it is right, it just happens.
You probably have heard me saying many times that Di is our No.1 QA, indeed. When Di first came up with his set of test cases last October, I knew right there that he would do a better job than I could. I stopped worrying about it from then on...adserver has been running smoothly for the most part without much hiccup...
What you don't hear me saying much, however highly appreciated, actually is his ability of attracting talents. I talked about how Kevin "cooked dinner with no ingredients". About Di, I say I wouldn't have a team if I were not lucky enough to meet Di. Doug and Jon have been making fun of me getting more and more TsingHua graduates, while not nearly as many from Peking U., although I graduated from Peking U.
Well, it really isn't my fault...I only started with one TsingHua graduate, Di...The rest just happens. Jack came via Di. And then Leo came, roommate of Di, who hung out on Zoho sheet 24 hours a day, and started correcting my mistakes barely a few days after he started. I knew I scored again...Who then brought in his best friend Yang, a tall and handsome guy quit MSRA to join us. Then I notice that I would have to put up 120% of myself when talking to them, otherwise, they would just fly passing me...And then Wei came as intern because he heard others are here, Doug commented after he met him:"Hey, you have a very impressive intern!", indeed, Wei was the best intern we got.
One after another, we are getting more and more...I just approved more offers to Tsinghua graduates, with that, I happily admit I am completely defeated by Di, who not only does a better job as a QA, but also does a better job building a team.
