The Girl With Many Talents - Melissa
I took FreeWheel NY team out for a lunch my first day at our new NYC office, when I asked: hey, where do you guys want to go? Everybody smiled and said: ASK MELISSA! Melissa, referred as "'the party coordinator" by Mike, took us to BLT fish. BLT fish is one popular restaurant, she got us a table by moving others around, no idea how she did that! Just like Mike says, Melissa knows how to get what she wants...The lobster salad I had was just amazing. Great choice!

Melissa, a member of our small and highly effective sales force, her smiley face can be seen everywhere. Although we both came from DoubleClick, I actually first met her in person this Jan when I got back to NYC. We went to a prospect together, on the taxi back post the meeting, she was summarizing and collecting next steps. Within half an hour after I got back to the office, her meeting summary arrived my inbox...I remember telling myself: she is one "buttoned up" sales that I don't normally see...
We met again at Admonster conference in Feb. A famous FreeWheel story came out of the Admonster was that "Melissa got carded!" - the waiter asked for her driver license when she ordered a drink at the restaurant, I got Jon to take a picture on his BBL as the prove that it indeed happened

For those of you don't know, one needs to be older than 21 to drink in America, apparently the energetic Melissa looks just like in her teens!
FreeWheel had a session at Admonster, we went to the meeting room prior the session to get ready, she was running around all those time to line up tables and chairs, repositioning all the glasses to make sure they are exactly right. Laughing and joking about her being compulsive while doing all of that. I watched her running around like butterfly, thinking: yet another right choice that Doug made!
The "party coordinator" who knows just about everything, organized a beer party for Adam's birthday last Friday, this time she didn't get carded
June 16th,
I decided to add to this entry the email conversation that I had with Doug:
From Doug:
I love this blog entry! But even more importantly, Melissa signed three deals in her first full quarter: two that have been announced and one that is about to be announced. Melissa is absolutely critical to our success.
From me:
“Melissa knows how to get what she wants” – Including contracts!
I have to say it is a big compliment from someone like Mike – who is just as cynical, if not more than Jon in nature
Congratulations on yet another signed contract, Melissa!
