Tomb-Sweeping Day, Obamas to Meet Queen

The last few weeks were extremely busy, my days were filled with talking, meeting, traveling, I am supper behind on almost all emails - except the ones marked urgent

Time flew by when you are busy...I still feel like I just landed yesterday, however, it, apparently, is time for me to get to Beijing. I even totally forgot a Chinese holiday that is right around the corner (No wonder Shen called and said he just arranged to land Beijing for the weekend...). Then Andrea sent out the Beijing office schedule, an email with subject "Tomb-sweeping Day". When I saw that email, I was like:"Hum mm, I don't understand this translation, shouldn't it be called memorial day??" Within a few seconds, I got several emails asking me to clarify what "tomb-sweeping" is, from our folks outside China. Out of curiosity, I googled, to my surprise, one of the official translations of QingMing Festival is indeed "tomb-sweeping day". For those who curious what it is, follow the wikipedia link. You never know what to expect after translation.

After hugging goodbye at San Mateo office, I got home packing. My TV is on, CNN, as always. The channel is completely filled with the Obamas' UK visit. Every single detail is repeatedly discussed over and over and over, including a small gesture where Mrs Obama touched Queen. Countless reporters, historians discussing over and over, each with different opinion about whether it is appropriate to touch the Queen, who reached out first etc...I was like "Hum mm, I don't understand...", How come a 2-seconds-video has been rerunning for the last few hours, people debating and discussing like this is the most important matter in the world...

There are a lot of stuff going on that I couldn't understand, in the meanwhile, I will just focus on things that I can understand: FreeWheel is hiring in client facing functions, account managers, sales engineers and supports. Send your resume over!
