A Rather Dramatic Day...

Just like you never know what life has prepared for you, from micro perspective, you never know how your day would turn out either.

I started the day with a great sleep last night, after a week deprived of regular sleeping. After a long relaxing shower, I was ready for a quiet day, only need to get to NYC at night, then I am all set for tomorrow. Then I decided to get online, unwise, if you want a quiet day, don't get online, my friend. So I got online, unavoidably got involved in emails, skype messages. My quiet day was totally gone, I rather got excited without the help of coffee, and then realized I was running late.

As I rushed to the airport, run into Diya who was also running late. Diya was praying the flight would have internet connection so that she could get the PM feature prioritization work done...Virgin American never disappointed you, besides the trendy fashionable purple color in the main cabin, they also have wireless connection in flight! Don't you just love it...I DO. I wish cross continental flights can have wireless connections, then I will just be a happy traveler, taking international flight like a taxi ride to home...Virgin American has grown so popular that even late night flight was full, consumer can figure out what is good rather quickly. This makes me even more bullish on FreeWheel

Just when I was praising the inflight connections, the news came out, front page article on AdAge about FreeWheel working with YouTube delivered to my inbox! We can finally set the record straight rather than hearing murmurs from the market. I posted the article on my blog — thanks again to VA's inflight wifi...

We landed 30 minutes after midnight and found the airport was fully packed, apparently there was a storm in NYC that delayed many flights. Poor Diya lost her wallet on the flight...After walking in the packed airport back and forth several times failed to find any place to register her lost...I started to hate the design of the new JFK terminal. Sometimes trendy is not a good idea, especially when it doesn't come with convenient and comfortable...

After dropping Diya off at her hotel, I finally got to mine. The shiny trendy new hotel that Doug suggested: http://www.standardhotels.com/new-york-city/. Driver dropped me off at the corner of Washington and 13th street, I was totally lost, couldn't find the hotel entrance, until their friendly staff came out looking for me. I was surprised by the trendy room. Although small, it turns out to be quite nice. The unique piece of this room is that you can see through the room from the shower — I guess that is what meat packing district's new trend?

The below picture was taken from the shower tub.

I took a reverse view too. Can you tell where is the shower place? That is right, behind the glass window next to the bed!

The bed is quite comfortable and they have wireless connections! — When trendy and comfortable meet, that is when you will find customers.

I started the day expecting it would just be quiet, the day actually finished with me lying on the bed of a wierd trendy hotel, at 3ish am in the morning, amazed by one surprise after another, good or bad. Life is just full of surprises...Isn't it?
